What is InsureTuition?
InsureTuition is a camp tuition reimbursement insurance policy.
InsureTuition reimburses the non-refundable portion of tuition if
your child is unable to attend camp or must interrupt his or her
camp session due to covered reasons. The camper is eligible to receive
up to the total amount of paid, non-refundable tuition, subject
to a maximum of $20,000. It also provides the camper with an additional
benefit should an accidental death occur.
For example: You enroll your camper
at Camp ABC in January and purchase InsureTuition for $105. Tuition
for Camp ABC is $3,000 and requires a $500 non-refundable deposit
with enrollment. Camp ABC will refund you all of the tuition if
you cancel before the first day of the camp session (minus your
non-refundable deposit) but will not refund any part of tuition
if your camper withdraws early from the camp session. If your camper
wishes to cancel, due to a covered reason, anytime before the Camp
Session begins, InsureTuition will refund you the $500 non-refundable
fee. If your camper attends half of the camp session and wishes
to withdraw due to a covered reason, InsureTuition will refund the
unused portion of the pre-paid tuition, $1,500, but not the $500
non-refundable fee.
What are the Covered Reasons?
The following are considered covered reasons:
If camper is prevented from attending camp or must withdraw from
the camp due to:
1. the Camper's Injury, Sickness, or death;
2. Injury, Sickness, or death of the Camper's Immediate Family Member;
or
3. the relocation of the Camper's primary place of residence if
a) the relocation is due to a transfer required
by the employer of the Camper's parent or guardian if the employer
requiring the relocation is the same employer as on the effective
date of the Camper's coverage;
b) the relocation is to an area more than 200 miles from the Camper's
current place of primary residence; and provided the Camper does
not receive notice of the relocation prior to the effective date
of coverage.

Coverage.
When does coverage begin? When does coverage end?
The Camper's Camper Cancellation coverage begins on the later of
the date of the Camper's enrollment in Camp and the receipt of an
initial deposit by the Camp for the Camp Session. Camper Cancellation
coverage ends on the first day of the Camp Session.
The Camper's Camper Interruption coverage begins on the first day
of the Camp Session. Camper Interruption coverage terminates on
the last day of the Camp Session.
The Camper's Accidental Death coverage begins on the first day
of the Camp Session and is in force only while the Camper is participating
in any regularly scheduled and supervised Camp activity. Coverage
is not provided while traveling directly to or from Camp or on any
personal deviations.
The coverage period is also subject to the Effective and Termination
Date provisions. You can find this information in the Description
of Coverage.
Are there any exclusions or limitations to the policy?
Yes. For a complete listing of exclusions and limitations, please
refer to the Exclusions page on this
site.
Can I cancel the Camp Session at any time for any reason and
get all my money back?
No. You will only receive a reimbursement of any non-refundable
tuition fees paid if you cancel for a covered reason as outlined
in the Description of Coverage. Covered reasons include injury,
sickness, or death of the camper or camper's immediate family member
or relocation of the camper's primary residence if it is more than
200 miles from the Camper's current residence.
Can my Camper interrupt his or her Camp Session at any time
for any reason and get all my money back?
No. You will receive a benefit that will be equal to the unused
portion of the pre-paid tuition, that is not refundable by the Camp,
if you interrupt for a covered reason as outlined in the Description
of Coverage. Covered reasons include injury, sickness, or death
of the camper or camper's immediate family member or relocation
of the camper's primary residence if it is more than 200 miles from
the camper's current residence.
What is meant by Pre-existing Condition?
The term "Pre-Existing Condition" refers to a sickness,
disease, or other condition of the Camper or an Immediate Family
Member of the Camper that, in the 90-day period before the Camper's
tuition reimbursement insurance coverage began:
(a) first manifested itself, worsened, became acute
or exhibited symptoms which would have caused an ordinarily prudent
person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment;
(b) required taking prescribed drugs or medicine, unless the condition
for which the prescribed drug or medicine is taken remains controlled
without any change in the required prescription; or
(c) was treated by a Physician or treatment had been recommended
by a Physician.
Do I have to purchase InsureTuition at any specific time?
Yes. You must purchase Insure Tuition during the 30-day period immediately
following the date the initial deposit is paid for the Camp Session
and prior to the first day of the Camp Session.
